as a creative consultant & collaborator in fine arts

I have had the pleasure of developing concepts for & assisting in the completion of several large works, installations, and partnerships for renowned artist Laolu Senbanjo. Primary works include a Soho House on Ludlow Street Pop-Up installation, and a Belvedere collaboration, which we had the pleasure of premiering at the Whitney Museum.

‘Roots’ Series

The Roots series was developed out of the desire for the artist to emphasize the power and relevance of ancestry in Yoruba culture and the reverence of Orishas. Orishas are considered to be highly venerated ancestors that became Gods or spirits out of their accomplishments. this series required creative consulting and art direction to produce cohesive works that respectfully and accurately represented existing Orishas and their worshipers while depicting the concept of being ‘rooted’ in one’s ancestry and alluding to the impact of these ancestors on their eventual descendants & venerators.
